Bitcoin flashed a “death cross” – when the shorter-term 50-day moving average crosses below the longer-term 200-day moving average. Analyst Ali Martinez noted this pattern often signals the start of extended downtrends. Meanwhile, indicators such as the MACD and Bollinger Bands also suggest increasing bearish momentum and heightened volatility. As per the chart below, the MACD line (blue) has dropped below the signal line (red), confirming a bearish divergence on the daily chart.
