Entertainment Jersey Opera House reopens for Liberation Day concerts by Admin 4 April 2025 written by Admin 4 April 2025 0 comments 2 The Opera House is set to reopen after five years to host two Liberation Day concerts as part of celebrations to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the German occupation. The opening concert at the Grade II listed building featuring the Philharmonia Orchestra will include World War Two songs performed by Jersey singer Georgie Mae-Bishop. The Liberation International Music Festival is organised by Music in Action chairman James Mews who said the reopening of the Opera House for the celebrations would be a "momentous occasion". He said: "This iconic venue will once again resonate with the power of live performance, bringing world-class music to the heart of our community."
